Julia is our eldest daughter. She is 24 years old. She spent 3 1/2 years with us on the mission field in Tanzania, where she participated with various mission works, including teaching children’s Bible classes, ladies Bible classes, visitation, and campaign work. She enjoyed being a “stay-at-home daughter”, working with her family for the cause of Christ. Julia married Lee Parish July 23, 2010, and they are currently attending the East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions.
Jacob is 22 years old and graduated from the Andrew Connally School of Preaching November 2008. Jacob participates in various aspects of the mission work, including visitation and personal Bible studies, preaching and song leading. Jacob loves to hunt, run, and enjoys music, including playing violin, mandolin, and guitar.
Luke, age 21, is our third born. He has completed requirements for his A.A. from Amridge University. He participates in various aspects of our mission efforts here in Tanzania. He enjoys hunting, as well as playing his banjo and guitar. Bluegrass has come to Tanzania! Luke is definitely the most advanced Swahili speaker in our family.
Lindsey is 19 years old. She graduated from high school. She loves working with children. She has participated in teaching children’s and ladies Bible classes and also leads singing, usually in Swahili, for ladies events. As a stay-at-home daughter, she cheerfully takes on many household tasks in order to help our home run smoothly. She has taken the beginning Swahili course, and if any of the rest of us want to know a Swahili word, we ask either her or Luke.
