George was born in 1963 to Bill and Lorene Jensen. He grew up in Concord, CA, and attended the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ, obeying the gospel on at age 14. In 1985, he married the former Elaina Joy Jackson, daughter of Wayne and Betty Jackson, from Stockton, CA. George graduated from the East Tennessee School of Preaching and Missions February of 1988. George and Joy have four children: Julia, Jacob, Luke, and Lindsey. In addition to his passion for preaching and evangelism, George enjoys hunting, photography, wood working and metal working Joy enjoys reading, sewing, quilting, cooking and gardening. She also enjoys blogging on her journey-with-joy.com site.
