About Our Kids
Julia is our eldest daughter. She is 22 years old. She has attended bible classes part time at the Andrew Connally School of Preaching. She participates with various mission efforts here in Tanzania, including teaching children’s Bible classes, ladies Bible classes, visitation, and campaign work. She loves photography, calligraphy, and writing about this and that. She is a “stay-at-home daughter”, working with her family for the cause of Christ. Julia is engaged to Lee Parish and they are planning a wedding for July 2010.

Jacob is 21 years old and has graduated from the Andrew Connally School of Preaching. Jacob participates in various aspects of the mission work, including working two days a week with a local preacher, doing visitation and personal Bible studies. He is looking to raise his own support to help him in his own mission efforts. Jacob loves to hunt, and enjoys music, including playing violin, mandolin, and guitar.

Luke, age 19, is our third born. He has graduated from high school and is currently enrolled at Amridge University, in their online program. He participates in campaign work and helps with the various aspects of worship service when we visit area congregations. He enjoys hunting and playing his banjo as much as possible. Bluegrass has come to Tanzania! Luke has taken a beginning Swahili course, and has done quite well in learning the Swahili language.

Lindsey is 17 years old. She has recently graduated from high school. She is loves working with children. She participates in teaching children’s and ladies Bible classes and also leads singing, usually in Swahili, for ladies events. The children of the congregation love to sit with her and Julia during services. Lindsey also enjoys helping out with medical clinics when possible. She has taken the beginning Swahili course, and if any of the rest of us want to know a Swahili word, we ask either her or Luke.
